Work on two new ropeways completed in Bihar, tourism will get a new dimension
Patna. The efforts being made by the state government to give a new direction to tourism in Bihar are now rapidly yielding results. Two major rope-way projects in Jehanabad and Gaya districts have almost been completed, which will provide great convenience to tourists in reaching the hilly places in the coming times.
Climbing Vanavar Mountain (Jehanabad) will be easy
A ropeway has been constructed on Vanavar mountain in Jehanabad at a cost of about Rs 24 crore. With the completion of this project, it will now become very easy to reach the top of the hill which is about 100 feet high. Where earlier devotees and tourists had to make a difficult climb, now the journey can be completed in a few minutes.
Relief to devotees on Pretshila mountain of Gaya
Pretshila mountain of Gaya district holds special religious importance during Pitru Paksha, where a large number of devotees reach. Till now people had to climb more than 600 stairs to go up, but after the opening of the ropeway, this journey will become simple and convenient.
Will start after security check
Both the ropeway projects will be checked and trialled for safety standards before starting. Only after this they will be opened for tourists. The government has made it clear that no technical shortcoming will be left.
Plan on Kaimur and Brahmayoni mountain also
There are also plans to construct a ropeway on Mundeshwari mountain in Kaimur district, although the work will be started after some modifications in its design.
