Hinglaj Mata Festival Pakistan: The three-day annual festival organized at Hinglaj Mata Temple located in Balochistan province of Pakistan concluded on Sunday. This religious festival is of utmost importance for the minority Hindu community of Pakistan and is counted among the major Shaktipeeths of South Asia. This year the festival started on 17th April and continued for three days with full enthusiasm and devotion.
Devotees from various cities of Pakistan and especially Balochistan reached the temple to participate in the festivities. According to reports, around 3,00,000 pilgrims participated in the event, while more than one million people visit the temple throughout the year. Local officials said that all the rituals were conducted peacefully for three days.
Devotees reached Hinglaj Mata Temple on foot
Thousands of devotees from Tharparkar, Umerkot and Sanghar areas of Sindh province reached Hinglaj Mata temple on foot. It took many people 20 days to complete the journey. Balochistan Provincial Disaster Management Authority made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct and security of the festival. At the same time, Shri Hinglaj Mata Welfare Mandali organized a 24-hour Bhandara, in which food, cold water, sherbet and tea were provided to the devotees.
Political and social personalities of Pakistan also participated in Hindu religious rituals. Located in the beautiful area of Hingol National Park in Balochistan, this temple is the center of Pakistan’s biggest Hindu festival. About 50 lakh Hindus live in Muslim-dominated Pakistan, which is about 2.14 percent of the country’s total population.

What is the importance of Hinglaj Mata Temple?
The religious significance of Hinglaj Mata Temple is very deep. This cave temple is situated on the banks of Hingol River and it is believed that here Sati’s ‘Brahmarandhra’ took place. Had fallen. Devotees travel on foot from far and wide to reach the temple to fulfill their wishes. A large number of devotees, especially from Sindh province, reach here every year.
