New Delhi. There are reports of violence from many places during the first phase of elections in West Bengal. BJP candidates are being targeted by the mob. In South Dinajpur, BJP candidate Shubhendu Shekhar was chased and beaten by the mob. During this time, the security personnel present with him tried to save him but due to being alone, he could not do much. After this, Shubhendu Shekhar and his security personnel had to run away from there to save their lives. In Asansol, the car of BJP candidate and sitting MLA Agnimitra Paul was attacked by the mob.

Videos related to the above incidents are going viral on social media. In these, Shubhendu Shekhar can be seen running. The second video is of Agnimitra Paul’s damaged car. BJP is blaming TMC for these attacks. Agnimitra Paul has lodged a police complaint regarding this incident. He said that this is an intention to influence the elections. Rehmat Nagar is a minority area and this has been done to ensure that the candidate does not go there. He said that we are confident that the people of Bengal will vote in favor of BJP this time.

Agnimitra said, people are completely determined to remove TMC from power, the language in which Mamata Banerjee speaks is an insult to the Chief Minister’s chair, we will not allow it to be insulted. This is a fight to save Bengal. We do not want Hindu-Muslim politics. We want employment for the youth and want to bring back the 40 lakh people who had migrated from here. He said that Mamata Banerjee has completely failed as a Chief Minister.
