David Weil has kicked off production on Tyrantturning up the heat on his L.A. based Amazon MGM thriller with four exciting new cast additions: Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams, I May Destroy You’s Paapa Essiedumusician Omar Apollo, and lifestyle creator Nara Smith, as per Deadline.
While character details the new actors will be taking on remain undisclosed, they will be stepping into a star-studded cast led by Charlize Theron, Julia Garner, and Demi Moore.
The logline of the upcoming film has also been kept underwraps but it is described as a high-stakes thriller reminiscent of Wall Street and Whiplashunfolding within New York’s elite fine-dining scene.
David Weil is set to write as well as direct, and will be working from a story co-created with Cody Behan.
After breaking out in HBO Max and Crave’s Heated Rivalrythe queer hockey romance now returning for season two, Hudson, 25, is showing no signs of slowing down as he is currently filming Apparatus while also set to appear in Netflix’s The Altruists and Crave’s Yaga.
