Serious allegation by father of rape victim in medical college
According to TOI report, the father of the junior doctor who was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College has alleged that voters are being intimidated during the second phase of voting in the West Bengal Assembly elections and the security forces are not taking any action.
Voting is being held on 142 seats in the second phase which started on Wednesday. The victim’s father Shekhar Ranjan Debnath, whose wife is contesting on a BJP ticket from Panihati seat, said that people have been coming out since morning to cast their votes. He also claimed that there is a lot of resentment among the people against the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in the state and described it as a “government of brutes”.
