Addressing the program organized on the occasion of the inauguration of Ganga Expressway in Hardoi, UP, Prime Minister Modi said that today is an important day for the celebration of democracy in Bengal. Currently, the second phase of voting is going on in Bengal and the news coming in shows that there is heavy voting in Bengal. Voting is taking place in Bengal this time in a fearless environment, which did not happen in the last 6-7 decades and was difficult to even imagine. People are voting without fear. It is a virtuous symbol of the country’s Constitution and the country’s strengthening democracy.

Modi said, some time ago, when elections were held in Bihar, BJP-NDA had registered a massive victory and had created history. Just a day ago, the results of the elections of Municipal Corporation, Municipality, District Panchayat, Nagar Panchayat, Tehsil Panchayat in Gujarat have come. BJP has won 80 to 85 percent of municipalities and panchayats. I am confident that BJP is going to score a hat-trick of historic victories in the elections of these five states also. The results of May 4 will strengthen the resolve of a developed India. The pace of development of the country will be filled with new energy.
