Raipur. Dhamtari district is soon going to register a new identity on the educational map of Chhattisgarh. Efforts to establish a huge Sainik School with a capacity of 500 seats in the district have intensified. The proposal of this ambitious project has been duly approved by the state government and sent to the Union Defense Ministry. This is being considered a historic achievement not only for Dhamtari but for the entire Raipur division.
The main objective of the proposed Sainik School is to prepare the youth of the state for military career along with national level quality education. The students studying here will not only achieve academic excellence in a disciplined environment, but will also be able to develop their physical and leadership skills all round. This institute will prove to be a boon especially for those bright students who dream of serving the country by joining the Indian Armed Forces.
According to officials, this Sainik School will be equipped with modern facilities and world class infrastructure. The campus will have state-of-the-art smart classrooms equipped with digital learning mediums. Well-maintained hostel facilities and rich library and special defense training center will also be established along with spacious grounds for physical fitness and sports.
Dhamtari Collector has described this project as a milestone for the development of the district. He said that the district administration is giving top priority to this project. The Defense Ministry team will soon inspect the possible sites. We are completing all the necessary preparations, from land selection to availability of basic facilities, so that this school can be launched as soon as possible.
The establishment of Sainik School will provide new energy to education as well as social and economic development of the area. The operation of this institute will create new employment opportunities at the local level. Also, this school will establish Dhamtari as a premier educational hub of the state, providing a strong foundation to the students to gain admission into prestigious institutions like the National Defense Academy. Now the eyes of the entire state are fixed on the upcoming inspection and approval of the Defense Ministry, after which the path for construction work will be paved.
