Kerala Vidhan Sabha Election Results 2026: Congress ahead on 49 seats in Kerala, political turmoil intensifies

Tezzbuzz Desk- Initial trends of vote counting for Kerala Assembly elections have indicated a major change in the politics of the state. According to the latest figures, Congress party is leading on 49 seats, due to which discussions have gained momentum regarding the possibility of change of power in the state.

These trends are considered quite encouraging for the Indian National Congress. After this increase in the initial trends, an atmosphere of happiness is being seen in the party camp. Supporters believe that this time the public has voted in favor of change and has indicated a new political direction.

Meanwhile, senior party leader and MP Shashi Tharoor has also reacted to the initial trends. He said that the voters of Kerala have understood the need for change and these early trends are a strong sign in that direction. According to him, many big leaders are also lagging behind the trends, which indicates a major change in the political scenario.

Tharoor further said that this beginning is positive for Congress and if these trends translate into results then government change is possible in Kerala. He expressed confidence that with the formation of the new government, the development of the state will get a new impetus and work will be done as per the expectations of the people.

Kerala politics has traditionally seen a trend of regime change, where the contest in every election is mainly between two major alliances. This time too the contest remains quite interesting and as the counting of votes is progressing, the political picture is becoming clear.

Although these are only initial trends and the final results are yet to come, the Congress’s lead has given rise to a new debate in political circles. There is enthusiasm among the supporters, while the opposing camps are keeping a close watch on the situation.

The counting of the coming rounds will decide whether these trends actually translate into a change of power or whether a different picture emerges in the final outcome. At present, Kerala politics seems to be at a decisive juncture.
