Lucknow. Institution of Engineers (India) of the capital Lucknow, U.P. An important technical lecture on the topic “Patent Laws and Copyright Protection” was organized by State Centre, Lucknow on 09 May, 2026 at Engineers Bhawan, IEI, River Bank Colony, Lucknow. On this occasion, Advocate Shri Raj Vikram Singh (Solicitation and Arguing Council, High Court Allahabad Lucknow Bench, Judicial Region, Lucknow and Supreme Court) participated as the keynote speaker. In his lecture, he highlighted in detail various important aspects related to patent law and copyright protection. He said that Intellectual Property Rights are extremely important for promoting innovation as well as protecting creative works.
He also said that in the present times, with the technological advancement, the importance of protection of intellectual property has increased further, and engineers, researchers and entrepreneurs should be aware of it. He also expressed his views on the process of obtaining a patent, provisions of copyright protection and legal challenges. The program was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh. In his presidential address, he said that such technical lectures are very useful for engineers, students and industry and they increase legal and technical knowledge.
Expressing gratitude to the keynote speaker, he said that the organization will continue organizing such programs in the future as well. The coordinator of the program, In. K.P. Tripathi welcomed the guests and presented the outline of the program. The successful operation and coordination of the program was done by Honorary Secretary of the organization, Mr. N.K. Done by Nishad. In the end he expressed his gratitude to all the engineers, academicians and students present.
