Suspended Trinamool Congress spokesperson Riju Dutta has launched a scathing attack on her old party. He alleged that party workers exploited the public and extorted money for years. Dutta also openly praised the new Chief Minister of West Bengal Suvendu Adhikari. He claimed that Trinamool workers had committed atrocities on Hindu women. There is a strong discussion about his changed stance. Earlier he had threatened officer Ajay Pal Sharma, but after the election results came out he had apologized unconditionally.
Riju Dutta claimed that Trinamool Congress workers tortured people for years and extorted money from them, and in protest against this people now voted against them. He said that the issue of respect for women was also important in this election. According to him, the party thought that the women of the state would blindly vote for Mamata Banerjee, but Trinamool workers tortured Hindu women in villages for years. He said, “You cannot buy the self-respect of women by paying Rs 1,500. This is a reflection of the atrocities inflicted on them.”
He further said, “Rath was shot dead on May 6. If Suvendu Adhikari had appealed for revenge over this incident and turned it into a political farce, at least 5,000 Trinamool Congress workers could have lost their lives.” Dutta praised the restraint of Subhendu Adhikari and said that he appealed to everyone to maintain peace and not take the law into their hands.

Riju Dutta also commented on the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) controversy. He said that this controversy has damaged the reputation of the party in the state. Prateek Jain, co-founder of this consulting company, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as part of the money laundering investigation related to the coal scam case. Dutta alleged that I-PAC, which runs the party behind the scenes, has ruined the Trinamool Congress, and Didi and Abhishek Banerjee will have to take responsibility for this loss.
