Some 9th pass, some CA, made a game of Rs 140 crore with the help of fake GST in Delhi

The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police has busted two big fake Goods and Services Tax (GST) scams. A total of fake transactions worth more than Rs 140 crore were found in these scams. Police arrested 8 people including chartered accountant Atul Gupta on Saturday.

Raj Kumar Dixit, Dilip Kumar, Vibhash Kumar Mitra, Amar Kumar, Nitin Verma, Mohammad Wasim and Abid are accused of making fake transactions worth more than Rs 140 crore in different cases.

How was the conspiracy exposed?

CA Atul Gupta is accused of filing fake GST returns in the name of several companies using his company. The owners of some companies did not even have any information about it.

 

 

Money was misappropriated by creating fake companies

Yashasvi Sharma, a complainant, said that suspicious transactions worth Rs 28.4 crore were made in the name of his firm Swastik Enterprises. According to the police, the accused used to launder money through bank accounts by creating fake companies.

Created a fake company, committed a fraud of Rs 128 crore

In another case, fraud took place on the pretext of providing a job. Using his Aadhaar, PAN and biometric details, a fake company RK Enterprises was created. Transactions worth more than Rs 128 crore were done through this fake company. Fake input tax credit (ITC) of about Rs 10 crore was taken.

Passed 9th but created more than 250 fake companies

Police said that Raj Kumar Dixit and Dilip Kumar are the main accused in this scam. Raj Kumar Dixit, despite studying only till 9th ​​standard, ran more than 250 fake companies.

How was the rigging taking place?

The accused people used to create fake companies by misusing documents of others, made fake bills and availed the benefit of Input Tax Credit (ITC).

Raids are going on since May 15

Several police teams conducted raids in Delhi-NCR on May 15 and arrested all the accused. EOW is now investigating the entire matter further.
