Giridih: In Nemiaghat police station area, a married young man climbed the mobile tower due to love affair and started demanding his girlfriend to marry him. The young man was not ready to come down from the tower for about seven hours. Police, family members and local people reached the spot and after continuous persuasion, they brought him down safely.
A young man climbed the tower with the insistence of marrying his girlfriend
There was chaos in Nemiaghat area of Giridih district when a youth climbed the mobile tower. The youth has been identified as Sunil Kumar Mahato, resident of Govindpur in Dhanbad district. It is being told that he had climbed the tower demanding marriage with his girlfriend.
According to the local people, the young man was continuously shouting from upstairs and talking about getting married. As soon as information about the incident was received, a huge crowd of people gathered at the spot.
Police and family members counseled for hours
On receiving the information, Nemiaghat police station immediately reached the spot. The police started talking to the young man through mike and explained to him to get down safely. The youth’s family members were also called to the spot, who tried to pacify him.
For about seven hours, the police, local people and family members kept explaining to him. After a long effort, the young man agreed to get down, after which the police took him into custody.
Was having an affair with brother’s sister-in-law
According to the information, the young man is already married and was having an affair with his brother’s sister-in-law. She took this step with the demand of converting this relationship into marriage.
The police is currently interrogating the youth. After the incident, there was an atmosphere of discussion and crowd in the area throughout the day.
