CBSE accepts technical glitch after 12th result, will refund on wrong fee deduction

New Delhi. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important clarification in the process of declaring Class 12 results (CBSE Class 12 Results) for the 2021-22 examination session. As per the official notice dated 24th May 2026, some technical issues were encountered while applying for the scanned copy of the answer sheets. Due to this, there were irregularities in the fee deduction of many students. In some cases, more money was deducted from the students, while in some cases less fee was charged due to a system error.

The board has clarified that the students from whom excess money has been taken, the same excess amount will be refunded through the same payment mode (like UPI, card etc.). Those who have been charged less will be given separate information about depositing the remaining amount. Along with this, all the affected students will be provided their scanned answer sheets without any fresh application.

CBSE alert regarding fake circular

CBSE has issued a ‘Fake News Alert’ on its official social media account and advised students and parents to remain alert. According to the board, a fake circular is being spread rapidly on social media, claiming that the process of taking copies of answer sheets and revaluation has been canceled due to technical problems.

CBSE has termed this claim as completely false. The board has made it clear that this circular is fake and students should not believe any such rumour. CBSE wrote in its post that ‘Beware of fake news and rumours. Confirm any information only through the official website of CBSE.
