CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh and Secretary transferred, OSM purchase process to be investigated
New Delhi. Taking a major administrative step in matters related to CBSE, the Central Government has transferred Board Chairman Rahul Singh and Secretary Himanshu Gupta. Along with this, a special inquiry committee has been constituted by CBSE to investigate the procurement process of On-Screen Marking (OSM) services.

S. Radha Chauhan will be the chairperson of the committee
According to sources, this investigation committee will investigate the procurement of OSM services, the tender process and various aspects related to it. According to the order issued, this inquiry committee will be headed by Capacity Building Commission chairperson S. Radha Chauhan will do it. The committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of examining all matters related to procurement of services for OSM system by CBSE.
Will be able to take help from other officers also if needed
The government order states that the chairperson of the committee, S. Radha Chauhan (Chairperson S. Radha Chauhan) will also be able to take help from officials of other departments and offices if required. Secretarial support to the committee will be provided by the Capacity Building Committee.
Report will have to be submitted within a month
The government has directed the inquiry committee to submit its report to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) within a month. It is noteworthy that since last few days many questions were raised regarding CBSE’s on-screen marking system, evaluation process and OSM tender process. Meanwhile, students and various organizations also demanded transparency and accountability. Now this decision of the government is being considered as a big step towards fixing accountability in CBSE matters.
