He claimed that one victim, between the ages of 13 and 16, was raped by 600-700 different men. Lowe said there were signs of organized child sexual exploitation in at least 85 areas of Britain. Testimonies read in parliament included allegations of gang rape, violence, threats and racial insults.

A testimony said that the victim was given drugs and handed over to several people. They were kept imprisoned in cages. The second victim alleged that if she protested, she was threatened with death and harm to her family.

Rupert Lowe said that one can no longer remain silent on these matters. In August last year, Lowe had said that men of Pakistani origin were mainly involved in the rape case. They have been running the gang for decades and their numbers are much more than estimated.

MP narrated the story of several rape victims

According to Lowe’s speech in Parliament, one victim said that the accused took down his pants and raped her. Then he picked up an empty bottle and forcefully inserted it inside my private part and broke the glass of the bottle. At that time I was about 12 or 13 years old.

Lowe told the story of another victim. The victim said that those men held me and took turns to rape me, also holding my hands and legs. They beat me repeatedly, threatened to kill me and harm my family if I told anyone about the incident.

During the investigation, one of the victims said the accused repeatedly made comments that suggested they considered white and Christian girls to be less moral or inferior. Some men described Muslim girls as respectable and of high values. In this way they justified their treatment of us.

The British MP, while narrating the story of another woman, claimed that the accused who raped her were police officers. It was said in the testimony – I was raped by many police officers in different parts of the country.

One victim said in her testimony that it started when I was 13 years old. I was raped by about six or seven hundred different men over three years. According to one victim, when she went to the hospital, she narrated her ordeal to the staff there, but they did not ask any questions and discharged her after giving her medicine.

What is the grooming gang, most of which are Pakistanis?

In Britain the term ‘grooming gang’ is commonly used to describe cases in which children and teenagers are sexually abused or harassed. The term grooming gangs became popular following investigations in towns such as Rotherham, Rochdale and Oldham. Thousands of victims have come forward in many such cases since the 1990s. The special thing was that most of the accused were of Pakistani origin. The accused first gain trust, then exploit through threats, violence, drugs or blackmail.

In 2002, the then Labor MP Ann Cryer first warned that gangs of men of Pakistani origin were exploiting girls in Keighley, West Yorkshire. In 2010, five men were convicted of sexually abusing underage girls in Rotherham. Subsequent investigations uncovered such organized gangs in Rochdale, Oldham, Telford, Oxford and other towns, including Rotherham.
