A sleeper bus full of passengers going from Kota to Kanpur went out of control and overturned on the highway. The accident occurred near Faredua foothill village at around 4 am, when most of the passengers were in deep sleep. In this accident, two people including an innocent girl died, while more than 12 passengers were injured.
The incident occurred when the bus was at high speed and the driver suddenly lost control.
Bus overturns after losing control at turn, panic among passengers
According to eyewitnesses, as soon as the bus reached the turn near Faredua Foothill village, it suddenly became unbalanced and overturned within seconds. There was screams in the bus after the accident. The passengers suddenly woke up from deep sleep with a jolt and chaos spread all around.
After the bus overturned, many passengers got stuck inside, local villagers immediately reached the spot to rescue them.
Local people started relief and rescue work
As soon as information about the accident was received, nearby villagers reached the spot and started rescue operations without any delay. People helped evacuate the passengers by breaking the glass of the bus and opening the doors.
After some time, police and ambulance also reached the spot. With the help of local people and administration, all the injured were admitted to the government hospital in Shahabad, where their treatment is going on.
The atmosphere is sad due to the death of two people and the painful death of a girl.

The police have kept both the bodies in the hospital mortuary for post-mortem and the family members have been informed.

The number of passengers injured in this accident is said to be more than 12. Due to the serious condition of some of these passengers, they have been referred to Baran District Hospital after first aid.
According to doctors, many of the injured passengers are suffering from serious injuries on head, arms and legs and their condition is being continuously monitored.

Police have started preliminary investigation and the cause of the accident is being investigated. In the initial investigation, it is possible that the accident may have happened due to the driver dozing off or due to high speed.
However, the police have clarified that the real reasons will be known only after technical investigation and interrogation.
