Weather News: Monsoon arrives in Kerala, alert of heavy rain for next seven days in 17 states including UP
Read: Monsoon has arrived in Kerala in the country. There will be heavy rain in Kerala and Karnataka in the next 7 days. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain and storm in 17 states of the country on June 6. UP is also one of them. There will be strong winds with a speed of about 90 kilometers per hour. The forecast of rain has raised hopes of great relief in North India which is sweltering with heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rain in UP, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, MP, Kerala, Tripura and Assam on June 6 and 7. Rain will continue in various states for the next seven days. There is also a possibility of hailstorm in some states.
Thunderstorm alert in UP
Talking about the weather of UP, there is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in about 34 districts from Western UP to Purvanchal on June 6. The districts for which the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of thunderstorm and rain include Shahjahanpur, Meerut, Aligarh, Agra, Mathura, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Mirzapur, Jalaun, Kanpur, Amethi, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Chandauli, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Azamgarh, Varanasi, Deoria, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur. Winds will blow with a speed of 60 kilometers per hour in these districts on Saturday. The maximum temperature of the capital Lucknow will be 38 degrees Celsius.
