Kalyan Banerjee Against Abhishek Banerjee: ‘Mamata Banerjee should decide whether to keep me or Abhishek’, now MP Kalyan Banerjee, close to TMC supremo, gets angry

Kolkata. The mountain of problems of Mamata Banerjee is only increasing. Now Lok Sabha MP Kalyan Banerjee, close to Mamata Banerjee, has clearly said that she is with the TMC supremo, but she has to decide whether she wants to keep Abhishek Banerjee or him. Kalyan Banerjee said that if Mamata Banerjee decides that she cannot take the party forward without Abhishek Banerjee, then he will not remain in the party. Kalyan Banerjee described Abhishek as arrogant and said that this situation has happened because of him.

Kalyan Banerjee’s anger on Abhishek Banerjee has erupted because on Thursday he and his son had to appear in favor of Abhishek Banerjee in the Calcutta High Court in the fake signature case. Even before the hearing on the petition, Abhishek Banerjee gave the responsibility of appearing to some other lawyer in place of Kalyan Banerjee and his son. Kalyan Banerjee got upset on this. According to Kalyan Banerjee, this is a matter of lack of trust. He reminded that he supported Mamta and Abhishek in difficult times. Let us tell you that after the results of West Bengal Assembly elections, Mamata Banerjee had removed Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar from the post of Chief Whip of TMC in the Lok Sabha and appointed Kalyan Banerjee.

As soon as Kalyan Banerjee was made the Chief Whip in the Lok Sabha, Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar started recruiting more Lok Sabha MPs from TMC. The result has fallen like a thunderbolt on Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek. So far 20 TMC MPs have joined Kakoli’s faction. These also include Mamta’s close associates Sayoni Ghosh, Yusuf Pathan and Shatrughan Sinha. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar has clearly said that he will support the BJP led NDA by forming his faction. Now if Kalyan Banerjee also leaves the party, then Mamata Banerjee may have to face a big problem in keeping TMC alive. Kalyan Banerjee has fought many cases on behalf of TMC.
