’25-26 MPs of SP are ready to break’, Keshav Prasad Maurya’s big claim

Before the beginning of the monsoon session of the Lok Sabha, discussions about a major upheaval have intensified in the political circles of the country. Amidst the internal strife within Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal and Shiv Sena (UBT) in Maharashtra, there has now been a major upheaval in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has made a very shocking and big claim about Samajwadi Party (SP). According to Maurya, about 25 to 26 MPs of SP are currently fully prepared to rebel and break away from their own party.

During his visit to Kanpur, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya targeted the opposition while listing the achievements of the central and state governments. Meanwhile, while talking to the media, he said, ‘Right now 25, 26 MPs are sitting ready to break away from SP. We are not breaking even. We know that they will break down and go away on their own. Shri Akhilesh Yadav’s bicycle cannot run the Samajwadi Party. She can go only by bicycle but cannot enter the corridors of power.

Maurya’s direct attack on Akhilesh Yadav

The Deputy Chief Minister launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party and said that no matter how many conferences and meetings the party holds, it will not get any political benefit from it. He claimed that in the coming times, the influence of SP will continuously reduce and after the year 2027, its scope will be limited only to Saifai. Maurya said that BJP is in a strong position in the politics of the state and will maintain its hold in future also.

SP has performed brilliantly in 2024

This statement of Keshav Prasad Maurya can create great uneasiness in the SP camp. It is noteworthy that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party had given its best and historic performance so far in Uttar Pradesh and registered a landslide victory on 37 seats. In this election, SP had defeated the saffron party even in the most VIP seat of the country like Ayodhya (Faizabad), which is considered a stronghold of BJP. At a time when SP has emerged as a strong opposition force within the Parliament. The Deputy CM’s claim of major defections among the MPs is being considered as a serious organizational and political challenge for Akhilesh Yadav.
