Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and many other party leaders on Friday congratulated former President Rahul Gandhi on his birthday and said that he is fighting for the rights and interests of the weakest and marginalized people of the society by speaking the truth fearlessly to power.
Rahul Gandhi was born on June 19, 1970 in New Delhi. He is the eldest child of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Presently he is a Lok Sabha member from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh and the Leader of Opposition in the lower house. He has been in active politics for the last 22 years.

In such circumstances most people would have retreated from public life.
