Nitish Reddy IN, Rahul OUT… Who is out in Chennai ODI, who got the place?
The third and last ODI of the 3-match series between India and Afghanistan is being played at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai. Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi has won the toss and decided to bat first. The Indian team, which has won the series 2-0, has made three changes.
At the time of the toss, Indian captain Shubman Gill wanted us to bat first. Shubman told that Prasidh Krishna, Harsh Dubey and Nitish Kumar Reddy have returned to the playing XI. KL Rahul and Arshdeep Singh have been rested, while Kuldeep Yadav has lost his place in the playing XI.
Another chance for Yashasvi
Left-handed opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal was a flop in the last match played in Lucknow. While returning to the Indian ODI team, Yashasvi could score only 4 runs in 9 balls. He has got another chance to prove himself. Yashasvi’s presence in the playing XI means that captain Shubman will once again be seen at number 3.
Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi will start the innings. After Shubman will come Ishan Kishan and then vice-captain Shreyas Iyer. Nitish, Washington Sundar and Harsh Dubey will strengthen the batting order. Famous will lead the fast bowling unit. He will get the support of Gurnoor Brar and Prince Yadav. Both these young fast bowlers have started their ODI career in this series.
