According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Majhi is deeply saddened by the incident. Expressing his deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the workers who lost their lives in this tragic incident, the Chief Minister wished the injured Odia workers a speedy recovery.
He further said that the Odisha government is in constant touch with the Tamil Nadu administration to help the affected workers especially those who are from Odisha.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg held discussions with the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu and discussed the issue so that the Odia workers can get proper treatment and other assistance properly.
Besides, the CM also directed three senior government officials to visit Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu to ensure immediate coordination there and provide all necessary support to the Odia workers and their families.
