How much is the fee?
There has been no increase in the fee for generation of e-passport. The fee is fixed at Rs 1500 for a 36-page normal passport booklet and Rs 2000 for a 60-page booklet. If you opt for instant service, this will increase to Rs 3500 for 36 pages and Rs 4000 for 60 pages. Any citizen of India is eligible to apply for an e-passport.
