BE7 is coming with muscular boxy look and big size
This will be the company’s fourth born-electric vehicle after the wild BE6, sophisticated XEV 9e and practical XEV 9S launched by Mahindra in the market. Different types of camouflage patterns were used on both the test mules seen together during testing, which leads to speculations that the company is testing it according to different terrains and conditions. In terms of size, it will be much larger and with more cabin space than the recently launched BE6.
According to the leaked information, based on the concept model, Mahindra BE7 will have a length of 4,565 mm, width of 1,900 mm and height of 1,660 mm. Along with this, it is being given a larger wheelbase of 2,775 mm. The car’s upright stance, strong C-pillars and boxy silhouette give it a bulky and powerful muscular look that is reminiscent of luxury vehicles.
India’s first mainstream car with frameless doors
Automobile experts say that the biggest attraction of this vehicle is going to be its frameless doors. In the Indian market, this kind of premium design was till now seen only in expensive luxury or sports cars like Mercedes-Benz CLA or BMW 2-Series. Mahindra BE7 will be one of the first vehicles to bring this feature in the mainstream segment. Apart from this, Range Rover-like flush auto pop-out door handles, sharp creases on the side body panels, wide wheel arch cladding and large alloy wheels of approximately 19-inch are seen in the vehicle.
What do the experts say
“Mahindra is taking full advantage of its new INGLO platform. Looking at the test mules, it is clear that the BE7 will be directly targeting the premium electric segment. The temporary headlights and taillights on it indicate that the company is still working on its final lighting setup, but its body looks completely ready for production.”

What is the expected battery capacity, interior and range?
Inside the vehicle, it is expected to get a jet fighter-like cockpit setup, which can get a complete dashboard layout with 12.3-inch three screens, which is also seen in the XEV series. Talking about powertrain, Mahindra can provide two big battery packs of 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The company claims its single charge range to be around 600 kilometers, whereas in real-world conditions, this car will easily be able to cover a distance of 450 to 500 kilometers. It can be launched in the market with both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options, which will directly compete with the upcoming Tata Harrier EV and Tata Sierra EV.
