Youth shot in stomach in Ballia, condition critical; BHU Refer
Baliya. A sensation spread in the area after a young man was shot in the Bairiya police station area of the district on Monday evening. The incident occurred near Kotwa Mod (Raniganj) at around 7:30 pm. The young man was seriously injured after being shot in the stomach. After first aid, he was sent to the district hospital, from where as his condition became critical, he was referred to BHU, Varanasi for better treatment. The injured youth has been identified as Angad Singh alias Vikas (27), son of Brijesh Singh, resident of Jharkataha village of Revati police station area. As soon as information about the incident was received, PRV police reached the spot and immediately took the injured to Sonbarsa Community Health Center.
As soon as information about the incident was received, area officer Bairiya Alok Gupta and police station in-charge Rajendra Prasad Singh reached the spot with the police force and started investigation. Police have detained two youths for questioning. The main accused is also being interrogated. The police are thoroughly investigating the reasons behind the incident and the role of the attackers. Dr. Danish, the surgeon posted in the district hospital, said that the youth was shot in the stomach and as his condition was serious, he has been referred to BHU, Varanasi.
Area officer Alok Gupta said that information about firing was received near Kotwa turn at around 7:30 pm on Monday evening. On the basis of the complaint received from the family members, a case is being registered under relevant sections. The police is investigating the case from every aspect.
