Deputy CM participated as chief guest in the inauguration program of teacher cashless medical scheme.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, under the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme, a grand inauguration of the program of distribution of cashless medical health cards to 12 lakh teachers and their family members and Rs 1200 per student for uniforms, shoes-socks, sweaters, bags and stationery through DBT to 1.10 crore students was done at the state level on Wednesday from Varanasi district. In Prayagraj district, a grand event was organized in the District Panchayat Auditorium, in which Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya ji attended as the chief guest.

Demo cards of cashless medical treatment were distributed by the Deputy Chief Minister to the beneficiaries working in the Basic and Secondary Education Department under the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme. On this historic occasion, the scheme was started by distributing symbolic cards of Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme to the beneficiary teachers, Shiksha Mitras, instructors, teachers of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and cooks of the Mid Day Meal Scheme. The program was conducted by Dr. Prabhakar Tripathi.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, while congratulating and best wishes to the teachers, Shikshamitras, kitchens, special teachers and employees of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and their families benefited under the Chief Minister Cashless Medical Scheme, said that today will prove to be a milestone for the welfare of the education sector and teachers of the state. I pray to God that you never suffer from any disease, but if any disease occurs, then your salary money is not spent on treatment and you get treated through cashless medical facility, this is the main objective of this facility.

He announced that the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme has been started to provide high level health security to 12 lakh teachers/non-teaching employees and their dependents of the state. Through this scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government is going to provide cashless treatment facility to teachers and their eligible dependents in hospitals affiliated with Ayushman Bharat, which will boost their morale and remove health related concerns. This scheme is not only for a government employee but will cover an entire family. Once implemented effectively, this scheme will bring a social revolution.

The Deputy Chief Minister further said that in accordance with the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act for the children of poor and economically weak families, an amount of Rs 1200 is being transferred through DBT to the accounts of the parents of the students studying in council schools for financial support. Through this DBT, the concerned parents will make the children aware about education by purchasing 02 sets of uniform, shoes, socks, stationery and bags etc. for their children. 12 lakh teachers (cashless) and 1.10 crore students (DBT) will be benefited from the above two schemes respectively. He has asked the parents to make good use of the money sent for their children’s school uniforms, shoes and socks and not to use it for any other purpose. He said that you teachers also have a big responsibility to explain the importance of education to the families of children. He asked to purchase school uniforms through the didis of the group, this will increase the earnings of the didis and in future they will become lakhpati didis. He gave the responsibility of using the money properly to the district administration officials.

On this occasion, MP Phulpur Praveen Patel, MLA Phulpur Deepak Patel, MLA Phaphamau Guru Prasad Maurya, BJP State Vice President Suresh Maurya, BJP Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, Gangapar President Nirmala Paswan, Yamunapar President Rajesh Shukla and other public representatives, besides Chief Development Officer Harshika Singh, District Basic Education Officer and other officials of the Education Department and teachers were present.
