Mayawati’s big attack on the opposition: ‘Parties shine in politics by provoking the victims’, appeals to follow the path of the Constitution

Lucknow, 10 July. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati has launched a scathing attack on political parties and organizations over the recent incidents at various places including Meerut, Saharanpur, Prayagraj, Hardoi. He alleged that some parties and organizations instigate the oppressed and deprived sections to come out on the streets, create situations like violence and road jams and later reach the spot and try to take political advantage.

In her statement issued on Friday, Mayawati said that such movements do not provide justice to the victims, but rather increase their problems. He said that the creator of the Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had shown the Dalits and the deprived society the constitutional and democratic path of struggle against injustice.

‘Fight for justice within the ambit of law’

The BSP chief said that if justice is not given from the lower court, then one should approach the High Court and the Supreme Court and not adopt the path of violence, road jams and confrontation. He said that after the incidents in Meerut, Saharanpur, Prayagraj, Hardoi and other parts of the country, the way people are being instigated to protest, the chances of getting justice for the real victims get weakened.

‘First they spoil the atmosphere, then shed crocodile tears’

Mayawati alleged that some political parties first create situations like violence, protests and road jams by provoking people. After this, their leaders reach the spot and pretend to express condolences and try to take political advantage. He said that this kind of politics does no good to the society.

‘Political power is the master of problems’

The BSP supremo said that the permanent solution to the problems of the Bahujan community lies in unity and gaining political power through democratic means. He said that Baba Saheb Ambedkar had also shown the way to achieve rights through the power of vote and constitutional system and BSP is continuously working on the same ideology.

Appeal to be cautious before elections

Referring to the upcoming assembly, Lok Sabha and local body elections, Mayawati appealed to the deprived society to be politically alert. He said that instead of being misled by any party or organization, one should have faith in the Constitution, the democratic process and the thoughts of Lord Buddha and Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
