IND Vs ENG: England blow India’s nerves; Won the last match by 56 runs

Southampton : India and England England defeated India by 56 runs in the fifth T20 international match played between them. With this, England won the series 4-0. This is the first time in history that India has not won a single match in a series of more than three matches.

In the match played on Saturday (11th), Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first, which turned out to be a mistake. Batting first, England set a target of 258 runs in front of India. England scored 257/3 in the allotted 20 overs. Jos Buttler scored 131 runs in 64 balls with the help of 12 fours and 8 sixes. Captain Harry Brook remained unbeaten on 95 off 45 balls with 4 fours and 8 sixes. Phil Salt was dismissed for 6 off 9 balls. Jacob Bethel was caught on the very first ball. Will Jacks scored 7 runs in 2 balls.

Chasing a mammoth target of 258 runs, India got off to a poor start once again. India’s first wicket fell on 21 runs in the form of Abhishek Sharma. He contributed only three runs. Sanju Samson was then dismissed for 55 off 27 off 14 balls. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer tried to salvage the innings. They put on a 55-run stand for the third wicket in 30 balls, but then skipper Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for 28 runs in 16 balls.

Tilak Verma’s 53 off 25 balls

India’s wickets kept falling one after the other. Ishan Kishan scored 56 off 35 balls and Tilak Verma scored 53 off 25 balls, but they could not lead India to victory. Shivam Dubey scored 14, Shedge 7, Akshar Patel 3, Arshdeep Singh 4 and famous Krishna 1. India could only manage 201 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs and lost the match by 56 runs.
