‘There will be no one left to support’ Iran’s open threat after 140 US attacks

The situation in the Middle East is once again on a powder keg. After America’s latest military attacks, Iran’s mercury is on the seventh sky. Tehran has termed this action of America as a ‘serious violation’ of international law and the United Nations (UN) Charter. Iran has not only challenged America, but has also warned its allies that if anyone allows their land or military facilities to be used against Iran, that country will also be the direct target.

Iran bluntly: ‘Even allies will not be spared’

The stance of Iran’s Foreign Ministry is very aggressive. Tehran has made it clear that if America uses the land or airspace of any neighboring country against Iran, then Iran will consider it as the ‘original source’ of the attack. It is a warning that has sent shockwaves across the region. Iran has accused America that these attacks have ruined all efforts to restore peace in the region.

Chaos over Muscat talks

Amidst this controversy, a big controversy has arisen regarding the talks held in Muscat. Iran has termed the statement given by the US President on the results of the Muscat talks as a complete lie. Iran claims Muscat’s talks had a completely different agenda, focusing primarily on the management of the Strait of Hormuz and the security of international shipping routes. Iran has described the US claim as ‘completely fabricated’.

Demand for action from UN

Iran has now also raised questions on the role of the United Nations (UN). Tehran says the UN Secretariat’s response to America’s aggressive military action is extremely ‘inadequate’. Iran has appealed to the UN Secretary General and the Security Council to take immediate action against the US and hold it accountable for flouting international law.

America’s operation and scene of destruction

This whole controversy has increased after the latest military operation on Sunday and the horrific attacks on Saturday, in which America targeted about 140 Iranian military bases. According to CENTCOM (US Central Command), the purpose of this action was to destroy Iran’s military capability, with which it targets merchant ships passing through Hormuz. According to reports, there is an atmosphere of concern for the whole world after these massive explosions in three cities of southern Iran. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has also warned that this conflict could prove dangerous not only for the region but for the entire world.
