Chikkaballapur. In Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, police have arrested a 65-year-old woman on charges of practicing sorcery in the court. Police allege that the woman sprinkled white mustard seeds on the table of the First Additional Senior Civil Judge. This action of the woman was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the court. The name of the arrested woman is Manjula. She is a resident of Valsanna Beedi area of ​​Chikkaballapur.

When the court officials saw the CCTV footage, they found that Manjula scattered white mustard seeds on the judge’s table under the influence of sorcery. On this, Chief Administrative Officer of Chikkaballapur Court, Netra complained to Chikkaballapur Town Police. After this the police registered a case against the woman. Action is being taken against Manjula under the Karnataka Prevention and Eradication of Inhuman Practices and Black Magic Act. Police suspect that Manjula used sorcery on the judge’s table in an attempt to win the ongoing civil case. Manjula has currently been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

Chikkaballapur Town Police is now investigating whether anyone else had inspired Manjula to sprinkle white mustard on the judge’s table. The incident of sorcery on the judge’s table is much talked about in the city. Perhaps this is the first time in the country that a person related to a case has done this in the judge’s table or court room. If found guilty in this case, Manjula can be punished with imprisonment of 1 to 7 years and a fine of Rs 5,000 to Rs 50,000. The Prevention and Eradication of Inhuman Practices and Black Magic Act was implemented in Karnataka in the year 2017. So that all the bad practices can be stopped. Earlier, many incidents of black magic and sorcery had taken place in Karnataka.
