Nitish Bharadwaj, best known for playing Lord Krishna in BR Chopra’s iconic 1988 television series Mahabharat, has heaped praise on the Ramayan trailer released today.
While Nitish has heaped praise on the entire team, including the film’s director Nitesh Tiwari, he has also given some advice to Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing the role of Ram in the film.
Nitish Bharadwaj praised the ‘Ramayana’ team in a unique way
The veteran actor shared his reaction on Instagram, calling the film a potential global milestone for Indian cinema. He wrote, “My thoughts on the Ramayan trailer – 100% Oscar for Best Foreign Film. Congratulations Namit. After Satyajit Ray and Shekhar Kapur, Nitesh Tiwari is India’s next gift to world cinema. Multiple awards for production design and DOP. A brilliant historical creation using VFX and AI. Thanks to the legendary composer Hans Zimmer for collaborating with Indian cinema. Ranbir is now on par with Ranveer as the next two unstoppable giants. Yash – welcome to global cinema.”
Special advice for Ranbir Kapoor
Nitish also had a special message for Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram in the film. Praising his acting abilities, he urged the actor to accept the responsibility that comes with portraying one of India’s most revered figures. He wrote, “RK, I have always admired you as an actor, but now start fulfilling your social responsibility of preserving India’s heritage, values, culture and ethos. So don’t make a film like ‘Animal’ anymore, even if you find a gold mine. Please don’t pollute your speech further. India has enough stories to satisfy your acting talent.”
