Puran’s record century in 31 balls, Pollard created history, MI New York scored 266 runs in MLC
MLC: In the eliminator match of Major League Cricket (MLC) 2026 being played in America, such a storm of Caribbean batsmen was seen which shook the record books. MI New York scored 266 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs against Washington Freedom. Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard were at the center of this explosive batting, who completely changed the course of the match with their explosive innings. Washington Freedom captain Steve Smith won the toss and decided to bowl first but his move backfired. MI New York lost the first wicket in the beginning but after this Nicholas Pooran batted in such a way that the opposition bowlers looked helpless.

Century in 31 balls, fastest record in the league
Puran scored the fastest century in the history of Major League Cricket by scoring a century in just 31 balls. He scored 106 runs on 33 balls which included 13 sixes and 5 fours. When Puran was out, the team’s score had reached 183 runs in just 11.4 overs and the match had become almost one-sided.
Pollard completed 1000 T20 sixes
After Pooran was out, Kieron Pollard also continued batting in an explosive manner. He scored unbeaten 64 runs in 25 balls which included 8 sixes and a four. During this innings, Pollard also completed his 1000 sixes in T20 cricket. Pollard has become only the second batsman in the world to achieve this feat. Before him, this feat was done by Universal boss Chris Gayle. That means both the batsmen who have hit 1000 or more sixes in T20 cricket are from West Indies.

MI New York posted one of the highest scores of the tournament by scoring 266 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Pooran’s record century and Pollard’s historic 1000th six made this match one of the most memorable matches of Major League Cricket.
