The Heartstopper love story is set to reach its emotional conclusion with Netflix’s Heartstopper Forever.
The feature film adapts Alice Oseman’s upcoming sixth graphic novel of the same name, while also drawing inspiration from her 2015 novella Nick and Charlie.
Over the course of three seasons, Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) have endured heartfelt highs as well as some emotional challenges, making their bond stronger.
Yet, as their relationship continues to grow, the couple must face new obstacles that come with navigating love and adulthood.
Now, as Nick prepares to begin his next chapter at Leeds University, the film also explores how the group’s once-shared world begins to change. While some friends head to college, others take gap years or pursue opportunities abroad, with Elle (Yasmin Finney) moving to Berlin to further her artistic ambitions.
Continuing the franchise’s tradition of standout music, Heartstopper Forever features tracks from artists who helped define the series, including Baby Queen, Billie Eilish, Tom Odell, Maggie Rogers and Wasia Project; the pop band fronted by cast member William Gao and Olivia Hardy.
The film’s soundtrack also expands its lineup with songs by Royel Otis, Gigi Perez, Sufjan Stevens and more.
The trailer generated even more excitement by featuring Olivia Rodrigo’s “stupid song,” shortly after the June 13 release of the single from her album You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love.
