India’s private space sector creates history, Skyroot Aerospace launches first private orbital rocket ‘Vikram-1’

Knews Desk- A new chapter has been added to India’s space sector. Hyderabad-based space startup Skyroot Aerospace has created history by successfully launching the country’s first private orbital rocket ‘Vikram-1’. This mission is considered a major achievement for India’s private space industry and has given new recognition to the growing potential of private space companies in the country.

Vikram-1 rocket, launched under ‘Mission Aagaman’, has been designed to deliver satellites to the lower Earth orbit i.e. Low Earth Orbit. The objective of this mission is to promote participation of private companies and strengthen India’s commercial capabilities in the space sector.

Vikram-1 was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. This is the first time that an Indian private company has achieved the feat of developing its own orbital class rocket and sending it into space. With this success, India has joined the list of select countries where the private sector is moving rapidly towards space launch. Skyroot Aerospace has developed this rocket on the basis of modern technology and indigenous engineering. The company aims to provide reliable launch services to deliver small satellites to space at low cost and in short time. As the demand for small satellites increases worldwide, the role of such private rockets is also becoming increasingly important.

This mission is being considered a turning point for the Indian space industry. Till now, the government organization ISRO has played the main role in the field of space launch, but after the new space policy, opportunities for private companies have also increased in this field. This achievement of Skyroot Aerospace will also strengthen India’s startup ecosystem. Experts believe that increasing participation of private companies can increase new employment, technological development and India’s competitiveness in the global market in the space sector.

The success of Vikram-1 mission is not just a rocket launch for India, but a sign of new possibilities for the private space sector. In the coming times, Indian private companies can play an important role in the field of satellite launch, space services and new technologies. With this historic launch, Skyroot Aerospace has proved that India’s private space sector is rapidly moving towards competing at the global level.
