Monsoon has once again become completely kind and active in Uttar Pradesh. There is a cloud cover in the entire state including the capital Lucknow and heavy rains are continuing in many areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a big ‘Orange Alert’ regarding heavy rains, strong storms as well as lightning in all the Terai areas including Bahraich and Shravasti. In view of this dangerous nature of weather, the administration has also come on full alert mode.
Schools up to 8th closed in Bahraich, problems increased due to waterlogging
In view of this severe weather condition, Bahraich district administration has ordered complete closure of all schools up to class 8 for the next two days as a precautionary measure. Due to continuous torrential rains for the last few days, the problem of severe waterlogging has arisen on the roads in urban areas, due to which common people are facing huge difficulties in commuting. However, due to the flooding of the fields, the faces of the farmers have brightened up and the work of transplanting paddy has now started at a rapid pace. Apart from this, the sudden drop in temperature has definitely brought great relief to the people from the humid and sticky heat.
Temperature dropped and weather became pleasant
If we talk about statistics, it has been raining continuously in Bahraich for the last two days. While 24 mm of rain was recorded on Sunday, this figure increased to 55 mm on Monday. Due to continuous rains and cold easterly winds, the weather of the entire area has become very pleasant. Due to rain, a sharp drop of 3 degree Celsius in day mercury and 1 degree Celsius in night mercury has been recorded. At present, the maximum temperature has fallen to 28 degrees and the minimum temperature has reached around 25 degrees Celsius, due to which the common people troubled by the scorching heat have heaved a sigh of relief.
Houses collapsed in Shahjahanpur, schools closed in Pilibhit too
On the other hand, the heavy rains during the last 24 hours have caused devastation at many places. Three houses suddenly collapsed due to incessant rains in Tah Khurd Kalan village of Khutar area of Shahjahanpur, a woman is reported to have been seriously injured in this accident. Apart from this, due to torrential rains in the neighboring district Pilibhit, many places have been flooded, due to which July 21, i.e. today, has been declared a holiday in the council schools there.
Red alert in 12 districts of UP and warning of heavy rain at these places
The Joint Meteorological Headquarters of UP and Uttarakhand has issued a huge warning in view of the situation in Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has declared ‘red alert’ of excessive rainfall in 12 districts of the state. Apart from this, ‘Orange Alert’ of very heavy rain has been issued in 31 districts and ‘Yellow Alert’ of heavy rain has been issued in 25 districts. According to the forecast of meteorologists, thunder will continue in almost all the districts of Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours and there is every possibility of heavy rain.
Heavy to very heavy rain may occur in Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kasganj, Etah, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun and their surrounding areas. Along with this, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, There is full possibility of heavy rain in Moradabad, Jalaun and surrounding areas. Apart from this, in the surrounding areas of Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravi Das Nagar, Jaunpur, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur. There will be a period of heavy rain.
