Students and opposition are adamant on resignation of Union Education Minister over NEET paper leak. Anna Hazare has written a letter to PM Modi regarding the lathicharge that took place during the Sansad Chalo march of Cockrose Janata Party (CJP) in Delhi on July 20.
In view of the students’ agitation in Delhi, senior social worker Anna Hazare will hold a silent protest tomorrow from 11 am to 1 pm at the Gandhi Memorial located in Wadia Park, Ahilyanagar. Anna Hazare says that the government should communicate with the students and solve their problems.
Anna Hazare expressed concern over the path of repression being adopted instead of dialogue in democracy. Anna Hazare’s protest site will be symbolically named ‘Jantar Mantar of the city’. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on this movement. He said that in democracy, problems should be solved not through repression but through dialogue.
Anna Hazare said, ‘Paper leaks, unemployment and delay in the recruitment process are worrying. The students’ movement should not be considered an issue of law and order but of public sentiment. The government should have positive dialogue with the students and agitators. He appealed to protect democratic values by following the path of Satyagraha of Mahatma Gandhi.
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar continued on Wednesday. Meanwhile, CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das said that our time is precious and we will meet Union Minister JP Nadda only when he agrees to fulfill our demands. He said that Union Minister JP Nadda has called for talks for the second time.
He clarified, ‘We have clearly said that we are not coming home or office. During the first meeting we were detained for four hours. It has been said from our side that call us only if our demands are fulfilled.
