Horrific road accident in USA, three members of Hyderabad family killed, car smashed into pieces

Three members of a family from Hyderabad have been killed and two others seriously injured in a road accident in California, USA, family members said on Tuesday.

The accident took place on Monday night (India time) when the family’s vehicle collided with another vehicle. The deceased have been identified as Nazia Salma, her daughter and son. Nazia’s husband Sheikh Naveed and their young daughter were seriously injured and admitted to hospital.

Sheikh Navid migrated to America from Saidabad, Hyderabad about 10 years ago. He was traveling with his family when the accident happened.

Naveed’s father Sheikh Abdul Saeed said he got information about the accident from the US police when he contacted his son. He Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has appealed to him to grant emergency visas to other family members to travel to America.

Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjad Ullah Khan also met the family and appealed to the foreign minister to grant emergency visas immediately.
