Construction of Link Expressway starts soon in UP, good news for these districts

News Desk. Another important project is progressing rapidly towards further strengthening the road network in Uttar Pradesh. The land acquisition work for Ganga Link Expressway has reached the final stage. Officials claim that the acquisition of the remaining land will also be completed soon, after which the way will be cleared for the construction work to begin.

Land acquisition is being completed rapidly

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) was given the responsibility to acquire about 225 hectares of land for the expressway in its notified area. So far, most of the land acquisition has been completed, while the remaining process is also in the final stages.

On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) is also rapidly purchasing its share of land. The government’s aim is to complete all the land related formalities soon and start the construction work.

Direct connectivity to Noida Airport

The biggest advantage of Ganga Link Expressway will be that Noida International Airport will get direct road connectivity from Ganga Expressway. This will make travel between eastern and western Uttar Pradesh faster and convenient. This link expressway, about 74.3 kilometers long, will connect with Yamuna Expressway and further reach Ganga Expressway. This is expected to provide huge benefits to both passengers and goods transport.

These districts will benefit directly

This project will mainly pass through Gautam Buddha Nagar and many villages of Bulandshahr district. After its construction, the connectivity of surrounding areas including Noida, Greater Noida, Jewar, Bulandshahr will be strengthened. Apart from this, traffic on the routes connected to Agra, Mathura, Lucknow and Bundelkhand Expressway is also likely to become easier than before.

Expressway will be equipped with modern facilities

Under the project, about 80 meter wide main road will be built. Service roads will also be developed along with the roads in the Yida area, so that local traffic is not affected. In some parts the road will be on ground level, while in further parts elevated corridors will also be constructed. This will make traffic more safe and smooth.
