Jerusalem. A case of murder of an Indian citizen has come to light in Jerusalem, Israel. After the incident, the police have arrested a suspect. It is being told that the Indian citizen was found dead in the room and there was blood spread around him. At present the police say that the suspect is being interrogated. However, the identity of the deceased and the murderer has not been revealed yet.
Police said that an Indian man has been murdered in Jerusalem. A 31-year-old Israeli citizen has been arrested in this connection. According to the Times of Israel, a 40-year-old Indian man was found dead in the Katamon area of Jerusalem on Thursday. According to the police, the victim was lying on the floor of a house with blood spread around him.
“After receiving reports that a 40-year-old Indian national was found dead in an apartment in the Katamon area of Jerusalem, officers from the Moria Police Station immediately arrived at the scene and began a preliminary investigation with forensic investigators,” the Israeli police spokesperson unit said in an emailed response. “Preliminary investigation at the scene indicates that the incident is of criminal nature,” police said.
Police further said that Israeli police officers soon identified the Eilat resident and arrested him on suspicion of involvement in the murder. The suspect has been taken into custody for questioning. However, his identity has not been revealed yet. The identity of the Indian migrant worker has also not been revealed yet. After the incident, Jerusalem District Commander Avshalom Peled also arrived at the scene and took stock of the situation with the district commanders. After the initial assessment, he directed to “continue the investigation” and handed it over to the Jerusalem District Central Unit (YAMAR).
In a video released by police from the scene, Chief Superintendent Yuval Reuven, commander of the Moria police station, says that “at the Moria station in the Jerusalem district, an incident was reported in which a man was found badly bruised in a home.” “Police officers arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area and began a preliminary investigation. During the investigation, a murder suspect was located. As a result of the investigation, the suspect involved in the murder was immediately arrested. Currently, additional investigative operations are ongoing to ascertain the truth of the incident,” Rouven said.
