Nowadays, when every other film is based only on action, noise and big VFX… in such a time, a small but heartfelt film like Max Min and Meowzaki seems like a breath of fresh air.

Story
The story of Max Min and Meowzaki revolves around a live-in couple named Mini and Max, in whose life their pet cat Meowzaki is also an important part. Their relationship gradually begins to break down and after the breakup, Mini leaves her cat with Max.
From here the film is not just a love story, but becomes a beautiful journey of loneliness, relationships, responsibilities, family and understanding oneself. The father-son relationship and mental conflicts have also been shown in a very sensitive manner in the story.

Director Padmakumar Narasimhamurthy has presented the emotions in a very natural manner without any drama or forcefulness. The biggest strength of the film is its simplicity. The story progresses slowly, but every scene has its own purpose. Beautiful cinematography, serene background score and realistic treatment make the film a therapy-like experience. If you like slow-burn and content-driven films, then you will definitely like its direction.

Siddharth Menon has done a brilliant job in the role of a struggling musician. His facial expressions and emotional scenes touch the heart. Medha Shankar looks very comfortable in her character. Experienced actors like Mandira Bedi, Adil Hussain and Nassar have also given life to their respective characters. The best thing about the film is that none of the performances seem over-the-top, everything feels very real and honest.
Final Verdict
If you are just looking for masala entertainment, big stars and high-voltage action, then Max Min and Meowzaki is probably not for you. But if you want to watch such a film which will take you away from the hustle and bustle and noise for some time and give you peace, explain the importance of relationships and touch your heart, then you should definitely watch this film.
This film makes you laugh less, but makes you feel a lot.
