2026 SL-W vs PAK-W 2nd ODI Playing 11: Chamari Athapaththu-led Sri Lanka will square off against Fatima Sana-led Pakistan in the 2nd ODI match on July 25 at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Hambantota.
Pakistan women secured a 5-wicket victory against Sri Lanka Women in the 1st ODI match and will be aiming for a win to seal the series.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka will be aiming for a win to level the series before heading into the final game.
Out of 35 ODI games played between the sides, Sri Lanka women secured 22 wins while Pakistan women have 12 wins.
Sri Lanka Women won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking on the toss, Chamari Athapaththu said, “We have decided to bowl first. Sometimes, a change is good. We need to improve our batting and execute our plans better by playing positive cricket in the middle overs.”
“As for our bowling, we didn’t do well in the power play in the last game, so we need to improve in that area. We struggled to score 250 in the first match, and since we’re playing on the same surface, we’ve decided to bowl first,” added Athapaththu.
While speaking today, Sri Lankan cricket team’s playing 11, Chamari Athapaththu said, “We have made two changes: Dewmi Vihanga and Rashmika Sewwandi come in for Nimasha Madushani and Malki Madara.”
Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana said, ” I think we were looking to bat first. Because it looks like a good batting track. So, we want to put the maximum total on the board over here. Anything above 250 is going to be a good total.”
While asked about today’s Pakistan cricket team playing 11, Fatima Sana said, “We have the same team. We will just look to carry the momentum.”
