All metro stations open amid protests in Delhi, appeal to protesters to return home peacefully
All the stations of Delhi Metro, which were closed amid the ongoing protests near Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, have now been opened for the movement of common people. Delhi Police has appealed to the protesters to peacefully leave the protest site and return to their homes.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has also confirmed that all metro stations have been opened for general passengers. Earlier, information about opening of major stations like Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat and Mandi House was revealed, but later services were restored at all the stations.
Delhi Police appealed to maintain peace
Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Devesh Chandra Srivastava said that the protesters are gradually moving away from there. He appealed to the people to maintain peace and not create any problem in law and order. Police said they were present at the spot to help the protesters return safely.

In view of the demonstration, temporary restrictions were imposed at many metro stations including Lok Kalyan Marg, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhamba Road, Supreme Court, Seva Tirtha, Janpath, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, Jhandewalan, New Delhi, Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat and Mandi House. Due to security reasons, people were advised to avoid unnecessary travel to some areas of Central Delhi.
Claim of resignation of Education Minister
Meanwhile, the news also claims the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The end of the protests was reportedly announced after talks between the protesters and the government. However, independent official confirmation of this claim and developments is required.
