Good news for poor families in Bihar, apply for ration card

Patna. There is relief news for the needy families of Bihar. The government has started a special campaign for those who do not yet have a ration card or the name of any family member has not been included in the ration card. Eligible families can avail this facility by applying before August 5.

Making the application process easier, the Food and Consumer Protection Department has made arrangements to accept applications through both online and offline modes. The government aims to issue ration cards to all eligible families before August 15.

Application through both online and offline modes

Eligible applicants can apply online by entering the required information on the official portal of the department. Apart from this, applications can also be submitted at special counters set up in sub-division, zonal and block offices.

These families will get the benefit of the scheme

This campaign is being run especially for those families who are financially weak and have been deprived of ration cards till now. These include workers, people living in slums, families of street vendors and other eligible needy people. If the name of any family member was not registered in the ration card earlier, then he can also be added under this campaign.

Target to make 16 thousand new ration cards in Patna city

A target has been set to provide ration cards to about 16 thousand eligible families in Patna City subdivision. The administrative team is working continuously to make this campaign successful. Ward councillors, public representatives, marketing officers and Vikas Mitras have also been given the responsibility of providing information to the eligible families and assisting in the application process.
