Khadi and Village Industries Board organized a one-day awareness program in Soraon block.

Bureau Prayagraj- A one-day awareness program was organized by Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board, Prayagraj in Soraon Block premises on Saturday. The objective of the program is to provide information about various employment related schemes run by the department to rural youth, women and self-employed people.

Chief guest in the program was Phaphamau MLA Guru Prasad Maurya and special guest Nirmala Paswan, District President Gangapar and former Legislative Council, Soraon Mandal President Sanjeev Kumar Dwivedi were present as special guests. MLA Phaphamau Guru Prasad Maurya told the people present about the detailed information about various government schemes and also the application process, eligibility and the entire process of getting benefits.

In the program, information was given about many important schemes including Prime Minister Employment Generation Program (PMEGP), Chief Minister Village Industries Employment Scheme, Chief Minister Matikala Village Industries Employment Scheme and Matikala Toolskit Scheme. Besides, guidance was also given to the beneficiaries to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship.

This program was organized by the District Khadi and Village Industries Officer, Prayagraj Division. The department appealed to more and more rural youth, women and unemployed candidates to participate in the program and avail the benefits of employment schemes. During the program, District Khadi and Village Industries Officer Jawahar Lal, Sunil Kumar, Himanshu Yadav, Abhishek Tripathi and Mahesh, Ram Lal and other officers and employees of the department were present.
