Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as the Rebel Kid, called out Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi for acting as if they were “stuck in a daily soap.”
The latest episode of Lid Up saw Shivangi win a crucial task against the 43-year-old actor, saving herself from elimination. But instead of celebrating, the 28-year-old actress apologised to Harshad and broke down in tears after the challenge.
Observing the scene, Apoorva couldn’t hold back from commenting on the situation, saying it felt more like a scene from a TV serial than a reality show.
“Kya ho gaya aapko? Aap dono kisi TV serial mein atak gaye ho kya? (What happened to you? Have you both got stuck inside a TV serial?) It’s a game, and then it obviously looks like you guys are in love with each other,” she said.
Justifying her reaction, Shivangi responded, “This is how I am, and this is how I express myself. I know this is a game, but I am a sensitive person. I have a different bond with him, and I am very emotional. I felt bad, and maybe you didn’t notice, but I had tears in my eyes when Sufi lost too.”
Ever since entering Lid Up as a week-long informer, Apoorva has been at the centre of the drama. She accused Shilpa Shinde of allegedly slut-shaming Shivangi by discussing her alleged affairs, which ultimately led to a heated confrontation between the two. She also put Ram Kapoor’s gameplay and strategy under the spotlight, calling him a manipulator in front of the other contestants.

The latest Judgement Day episode of Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazzpremiering on Saturday, July 25, will see one inmate eliminated from the competition. Adding to the drama, Hina Khan and Uorfi Javed will enter the house as ‘Janta Ki Awaaz’, reigniting Hina’s long-running rivalry with Shilpa Shinde from Bigg Boss season 11. Hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, Lock Upp season 2 streams on Netflix from Saturday to Thursday.
