Big decision of BCCI, these two players got a chance in the test team for the first time on Sri Lanka tour
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team for the two-match Test series to be played on the Sri Lanka tour. Two new faces have been included in the team, while all-rounder Washington Sundar is not available for selection due to injury.
BCCI informed that Washington Sundar, who was injured during the England tour, is still working on his recovery and he will not be a part of the team for the first Test match. In his place, Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Saransh Jain has been included in the Test team for the first time.
Gurnoor Brar also got a place in the test team
Let us tell you that Saransh Jain has consistently impressed with his performance in domestic cricket. He has the ability to bowl off-spin as well as bat with the left hand. Gurnoor Brar has also got a place in the Test team. Gurnoor recently made his debut in ODI cricket and caught the attention of the selectors with his performance.
Keeping an eye on the fitness of Bumrah and Sai Sudarshan
Jasprit Bumrah and Sai Sudarshan have been included in the team, but the final playing of both the players will depend on passing the fitness test. Experienced players Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav have also been included in the Indian team.

The first Test match between India and Sri Lanka will be played in Galle from 15 to 19 August. The second test will be held in Colombo from 23rd to 27th August.
