The tribals of the state are also going to hold big festivals in the style of the global Hornbill Festival to keep alive the folk culture of Nagaland. They want the support of the government for that. Various events are being organized there according to their own clothes and customs. It is reported that preparations for this festival have started on August 9 World Adivasi Day in Jangipara, Hooghly.

There will be representatives of 35 tribes of the state. There will be separate stalls in the very style of the Hornbill Festival. A show of their own culture. Dance and song in traditional dress. Everything from bow and arrow, dhamsa madal. Ruben Rava of Alipurduar, president of tribal unity forum, said, “The government has already finalized the matter of building a board for the development of our tribes. Minister Khudiram Toor has promised. We want to keep our reformation, culture and tradition alive. That’s why this festival is organized in Jangipara.” Arun Soren, a local school teacher who came forward to officiate the festival, said, “People from every tribe will be there. Three legislators from here are also invited.”

According to organization sources, the minister of the department will also be invited. However, he will be in various government functions that day. So there is confusion whether time will be available or not. Apart from making Bengali mandatory for government work, the state is also giving importance to the languages ​​of some tribes including Saotali. In this situation, their forum has also raised various demands. It is known that there are many people of Chakma community in Cooch Behar. They are also being brought to the forum. Asura community of tea plantation area, nature worshiper Totoro are also expected to be present at the event in Jangipara. The Sundarbans of South Bengal, Jangalmahal are still there. Just 20 km from Kohima, as the Horn Festival becomes a global attraction, the tribals here want to showcase their heritage. As a result, if all goes well, the Jangipara event is going to add another dimension to the tribal festivals in the state.
