Major administrative reshuffle in Chhattisgarh, collectors of six districts changed

Raipur . In a major reshuffle at the administrative level, the Chhattisgarh government has transferred 22 IAS and one IFS officer. According to the order issued today by the General Administration Department, in this reshuffle, collectors of six districts have been changed and there has been a change in the responsibilities of secretaries and district heads of many important departments.

Apart from the CEOs of District Panchayats of many districts, the charges of many secretaries have also been changed in the list. Collectors of Kanker, Mungeli, Sakti, Kabirdham, Gariaband and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh outpost have been changed. Kundan Kumar has been made the collector of Kanker, Amrit Vikas Topno of Mungeli, Jayshree Jain has been made the collector of Sakti district. Along with this, Tulika Prajapati has been made the collector of Kabirdham, Ranbir Sharma has been made the collector of Gariaband district. Meanwhile, Tanuja Salam has been appointed as the new collector of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district.

In a reshuffle in the in-charge of departments, Sonmani Bora has been made Principal Secretary, Urban Administration and Development. Bhuvnesh Yadav has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Tribal Scheduled Caste Development. Nilesh Kumar Mahadev Kshirsagar has been appointed Director, Urban Administration and Development. Along with this, Rimjhius Ekka has been made the Mission Director, Jal-Jeevan Mission. R. Shangita has been removed from the post of Secretary, Urban Administration Department, Secretary, Ministry, Saumil Ranjan Choubey has been appointed Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Bhagwan Singh Uike has been appointed Joint Secretary, General Administration Department (former Collector, Gariaband) and Gopal Verma has been appointed Joint Secretary, Forest and Climate Change Department (former Collector, Kabirdham).

Saumil Ranjan Choubey has been temporarily posted as Deputy Secretary, Agriculture Department, till further orders, on the post of Managing Director, Tourism Board. Birendra Bahadur Panchbhai Additional Collector, Narayanpur has been temporarily posted as Additional Collector, Bilaspur till further orders.

An officer of the Forest Department has also been transferred in the list released by the General Administration Department. According to the order, the services of Vivek Acharya, an Indian Forest Service officer of 2006 batch, who was the Managing Director of the Tourism Board, have been returned to his parent department i.e. Forest Department with immediate effect.
