New Delhi : From last few days there is a drastic change in the atmosphere. In many states heavy rain happening This year's monsoon and other natural calamities have wreaked havoc in Himachal Pradesh. In Kangra, 111 people died and 9 people were injured. 11 bridges have been affected.
Sirmaur has been the worst hit, with 87 deaths. Sixteen deaths were reported in Lahaul-Spiti, four in Solan, two in Mandi, and one each in Kangra and Kullu. 743 houses were damaged due to this calamity. This includes 239 houses in Solan, 155 in Kangra and 136 in Mandi. 3674 roads, 11 bridges and 3090 drinking water schemes have been affected in the state. 736 roads have been damaged in Kangra, 615 in Mandi and 614 in Shimla.

548 drinking water plants in Chamba, 514 in Shimla and 499 in Kangra were damaged. In the power system, 494.49 km long high-pressure lines, 755.07 km long low-pressure lines, 1770 poles and 338 transformers were damaged.
Cloudburst in Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti
There was direct damage of Rs 536.83 crore to Public Works Department roads, Rs 116.14 crore to Jal Shakti drinking water projects and Rs 12.87 crore to private property. In July, Kangra recorded 546.2 mm, Sirmaur 487.5 mm and Chamba 447.5 mm. Cloudbursts occurred at three places between Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti, but no casualties were reported.
1871 Family Relief Fund
As of August 1, 1,871 affected families have received relief funds, while compensation is pending for 1,260 families. According to the government, this is mainly due to non-submission of applications on the relief management system portal or incomplete applications. Funds will be disbursed once the formalities are completed.
