Delhi: Indian Test team captain Shubman Gill has made a big achievement in his name in the second Test being played against Sri Lanka in Colombo. Gill has completed 3,000 runs in Test cricket. With this, he has joined the list of select batsmen of India who have scored 3,000 or more runs in Test cricket.
Gill achieved this milestone in his 43rd test match. Gill is the fourth youngest batsman in India to complete 3,000 Test runs at the age of 26 years and 349 days. Ahead of him in this list are Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Dilip Vengsarkar.

Sachin has the record of 3,000 runs at the youngest age.
The record of becoming the youngest Indian to complete 3,000 Test runs is still in the name of the great batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin had achieved this feat at the age of just 23 years and 228 days. The list of Indian batsmen who scored 3,000 Test runs at the youngest age is as follows:

After him, Rahul Dravid is present with 13,265 runs and Sunil Gavaskar with 10,122 runs. Virat Kohli is at fourth place in this list with 9,230 runs.
Gill is currently ranked 28th in the list of Indian batsmen who have scored 3,000 or more Test runs. There are many active Indian players ahead of him, which include KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant.
